Floral Fitted.

Hello my chummy chum chums!

So I originally wasn't going to blog about half the stuff I'm about to tell you but whateves. Decided to do it anyway because I got the mail today and it was full of goods.

I'll start with a quick snippet from Monday.
So I get a text from BOA (Bank of America kids) asking if the past three transactions were actually me. Upon inspection, I found that no, I had not purchased anything from Match.com for $70 nor did I even know what FTDCOM was, let alone spend $120 there. Five minutes later I get a phone call from BOA and the guy tells me that someone tried to buy flowers (that's what that FTDCOM thing was), a Match.com subscription and also a subscription to something called "Mate1" that is a dating/escort service. The only reason I know that is because I asked the BOA man. At my reaction, even he chuckled. Long story made somewhat short: some unknown person got ahold of my debit card info and tried to swindle me out of around $300. Suckers. Too bad nothing went through. But now I have to wait until my new debit card comes in the mail. AND remember to which my card information with every online retailer and bill-pay service. Mercy.

On to Tuesday....
After a whatever/not-so-bad day at work, I peaced it up to the East Village to have dinner with a friend from California who moved out here. While walking around said Village, I stumbled upon a vintage record store. Ohhh the goods to be had in a place like that. It would take me forever to rifle through everything but I will definitely be coming back. Want to know why? Because they have 2 for $5 vinyls. Want to know how I know? Because I bought 2 vinyls and it was only 5 and change plus tax. Amen for this place. It's called Academy Records and I love it there. Because of that store I've been listening to the Flashdance soundtrack almost on repeat since last night. No shame.
Met up with said friend after the record store run-in and it was great. We went to a place called S'Mac which has specialized mac n'cheese with things you only dream of cooking up yourself. I was a bit of a fatty but I mean can you blame me? Great food, great company, great conversation. So much great. Don't I sound like some sort of cheesy author or journalist right now? Ha, cute. Moving on...

To today.
Work kind of sucked but that was because I was inexorably bored. My coworker bought me an iPhone case I happened to be looking at on Etsy because she likes me. Now I only think she's even more adorable. Too cute that little lady is. Went to the gym for some toning time. Then I got the mail. Oh how excited I was to see what it held for me.

Item of interest #1: the Only Lovers Left Alive DVD. So much yes! I've been waiting for this since August but hadn't purchased it because of one thing or another and now none of it matters because it's mine. What a fantastic film.
Ps. If you didn't watch it, well then you my dear friend are severely slacking. You need to get on it. ASAP. Here's what the cover/poster looks like:

Item of interest #2: my flora fitted. I'm telling you, eBay is the land where if you want it and you bid high enough for it, it will be yours. That happened with the film above mentioned and with this hat as well. I've even got a video for you because pictures just don't quite cut it.

I'm literally so excited to wear this hat out and about and all over town and maybe even to work one day I can't even begin to tell you. Actually, I can.

I'm wearing it right now.
I may never take it off.
There's really no telling.

Until next time lovelies,
xx

Ps. This burger place just followed me, a part-time vegetarian all my life and full-time vegetarian for 3+ years, on Twitter. I find that ironic.
